The Gfinity Elite Series will kick off this Saturday, with eight teams duking it out for over $100,000 in cash prizes.
The Gfinity Elite Series is a brand new competition that will see eight franchises face off in three games, CS:GO, Street Fighter and Rocket League, for a combined prize pot of £225,000 (approximately $290,000).
The tournament will launch in the United Kingdom, but Gfinity plans to expand the Series internationally to create what it has labelled the Gfinity eSports World Series.
Over the next nine weeks, the teams will lock horns every Saturday at the Gfinity Arena, in London, in best-of-two matches. The top four teams from the regular season will then advance to a single-elimination bracket, which will culminate with a best-of-five grand final.
